Is the vehicle theft risk checker free?
Yes — completely free, no sign-up required. It covers 22 makes and 100+ models using published DVLA, ONS, and ABI data.
Do I need a tracker or an immobiliser?
A tracker helps recover a stolen vehicle and can satisfy insurer requirements. An immobiliser prevents the vehicle starting without authorisation. Many high-risk vehicles benefit from both. Use the free risk checker to get a recommendation based on your make and model.
What is relay theft and how can I prevent it?
Relay theft uses two devices to amplify your key fob signal, tricking your car into unlocking and starting without the physical key. A Thatcham-approved tracker or immobiliser is the most effective deterrent. Read the full guide in the Vehicle Security Academy.

Why we built this
We're a trained Scorpion installer covering Suffolk and Norfolk. Most of the vehicle security information online is either vague, out of date, or written to sell you something. We wanted a place where you could get a straight answer about your actual risk — based on published data, not guesswork.
Every tool on this page is free and has no sign-up. The theft data comes from DVLA vehicle theft statistics, ONS Crime in England and Wales (year ending March 2024), and ABI relay-theft reports. Where data isn't available, we say so.
